SALES ASSOCIATE JOB DECSRIPTION:
Position Concept: As a Team Service Member, the Sales Associate has the responsibility for the assisting golf shop and golf operation management while working cooperatively with other departments.
Supervised By: Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional
Job Specific Responsibilities – (include but are not limited to):
- Open/close golf shop daily.
- Answer any questions by golfers
- Promote and sell golf shop merchandise to customers
- Schedule and maintain golfer tee times and tee sheets.
- Total tee sheet and ensure accuracy of daily totals
- Administrate all point of sales transactions as it applies to golf, range, food & beverage, or merchandise sales collecting all monetary transactions.
- Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform check-in and receive payments from customers and guests.
- Promote all golf course activities and events.
- Stock, tag, and display merchandise on golf shop floor ensuring all merchandise is neatly arranged and restocked to proper level
- When requested, pull and wash golf carts, put golf carts in the storage area at the end of the day, empty trash and keep the cart storage area clean and orderly.
- Maintain cleanliness of golf-related areas (e.g., golf shop, hallways, locker rooms, common areas).
- When assigned or requested, perform other duties related to the maintenance and operations of a golf course and/or driving range.
- Performs other duties as required.
Job Requirements –
- Knowledgeable in the basic rules of golf.
- Golf shop experience preferred
- Sales experience preferred
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines with supervision, and be willing to work weekends.
